Changing for the better.

Our four fields of action

To achieve change, we have defined four strategic fields of action in our Corporate Responsibility (CR) strategy. These are closely linked to the material topics identified in our materiality analysis:

Financial Sustainability

EOS advocates strong, binding industry standards and responsibility guidelines. We apply strict criteria when we price portfolio purchases and make other investments.

From bronze to gold: Sustainability commitment earns top recognition

The EOS Holding’s dedication to sustainability has been recognized with the EcoVadis Gold Medal, a remarkable progression from the Bronze Medal achieved last year. This prestigious award underscores the company's strengthened Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance, placing EOS in the top 3% of companies in its industry and the top 5% worldwide, as assessed by EcoVadis. The assessment pertains to EOS Holding with a group assessment scope, the official recognition can be found here.

"Progressing from bronze to gold in just one year is a fantastic achievement that demonstrates the success of our sustainability strategy," says Marwin Ramcke, Chairman of the EOS Group's Board of Directors. "This Gold Medal is a recognition of the hard work of our entire team and motivates us enormously to continue pursuing our path of sustainable corporate governance and exceeding our standards."

The EOS Materiality Heatmap

The EOS Materiality Heatmap shows the results of the materiality assessment across impact and financial materiality. Negative impact is rated high for climate change mitigation and for equal treatment and equal opportunities. Positive impact is rated high for information-related impacts and social inclusion, and medium for financial literacy and social engagement and for financial sustainability. Financial risk is rated high for privacy and for prevention and detection of corruption and bribery. All other ratings are not material.

The process of our materiality assessment

For our materiality analysis, we used the ESRS 1 long list and supplemented it with two company-specific topics. Taking into account our upstream and downstream value chain, we then identified (potential) impacts, risks, and opportunities (IROs). The Corporate Strategy, Growth & Transformation (CS) department, together with numerous specialist departments (e.g., Group HR and Group Governance), identified and assessed the IROs. An external consultancy was also involved in the process. To assess the impacts, the experts considered the severity and, for potential impacts, the likelihood of occurrence. To assess risks and opportunities, they considered the financial magnitude and the likelihood of occurrence. This process allowed EOS to establish a foundation for decision-making regarding the CR strategy and systematic sustainability reporting.
